Our mission
To grow, standardize and sustain collegiate calisthenics, creating a unified community for student athletes to develop, compete and thrive.
To this end, the USCCO fosters the growth of calisthenics as a sport that emphasizes physical fitness, development and camaraderie among college athletes; supports national intercollegiate competition; establishes and upholds official rules and standards; sanctions, coordinates and hosts collegiate competitions and exhibitions; and promotes awareness and appreciation of calisthenics in the general public.
Our vision
Calisthenics as a prominent, recognized sport on college campuses nationwide.
We envision collegiate calisthenics clubs becoming the norm at every university, with outdoor calisthenics gyms on every campus or nearby. Ultimately, we aspire for calisthenics to achieve the status of a college sport one day, reflecting its role in collegiate athletics and student life.
Our story
The USCCO is a student-founded organization created to give collegiate calisthenics athletes a platform to come together and compete. The idea took shape during a meeting between the Georgia Tech Calisthenics Club and the university's Campus Recreation office, as the club pursued recognition as an official sport club.
They found that two essential pieces were missing: organized competitions and a governing body to oversee them. Rather than wait for that infrastructure to exist, they built it themselves.
What began as a grassroots effort has grown into a nationwide league and a structured, professional organization that establishes standards and creates opportunities for athletes across North America.
- First standardized collegiate calisthenics competition rules
- Partnerships with universities across multiple states
- Growing community of dedicated athletes and supporters
- Recognition as a legitimate collegiate sport organization
