How Freestyle works
Athletes perform a 45 second routine on the high pull-up bar- consisting of explosive acrobatic skills, difficult static holds, and power dynamic skills. All athletes compete in a 45-second qualifier round. The top four athletes advance to a Head-to-Head finals bracket, consisting of two back-to-back 45-second rounds.
Athletes build the highest-scoring routine by performing maximum difficulty, complex combinations, transitions, and variations. While the official Freestyle Code of Points is actively under development, expert judges select the top four athletes based on absolute difficulty, creativity, and execution quality.
